Shotzi gives update on WWE contract expiration date

Shotzi still has a bit of time left before she’ll officially hit free agency.

Over the weekend, it was confirmed that Shotzi is departing WWE in a round of roster cuts made by the company. Unlike most others who are being let go, Shotzi was not released by WWE but was instead informed that her contract would not be renewed when it expires.

Shotzi posted a tweet (that has since been deleted) saying that it won’t be until July until she’s free to wrestle elsewhere.

“Just to clarify, I still have a good amount of time on my contract,” she wrote. “But come July I will be full time balls to the walls!”

Shotzi has already started taking bookings and wants to wrestle everyone on the indies that she can. Her last match for WWE took place in February on WWE Speed — and Shotzi tweeted that she can’t wait to wrestle for a lot longer than three minutes now.

Shotzi had been appearing on NXT before her departure, where she was aligned with Gigi Dolin & Tatum Paxley. Dolin was released by WWE last Friday in these roster cuts.
