Title Changes On This Day in Wrestling (July 3rd)

Edge WWE Champion 2006

July 3rd has historically been a lot quieter of a day when it comes to title changes in pro wrestling than we’ve seen recently. According to information from wrestlingdata.com, only 156 major/notable title changes have occurred on this date historically.

Some of the biggest changes include Edge winning the WWE Championship in 2006 in a triple threat match with Rob Van Dam and John Cena, Pentagón Jr winning the AAA Latin America Title in 2016 and El Dandy winning the CMLL World Middleweight Title in 1992 (who were you to doubt him?).
