First ROH Final Battle matches official

Ring of Honor has announced the first matches for its Friday, December 5 Final Battle event.

The newly-created AEW National Championship will be defended at Final Battle, the promotion announced on Thursday’s Ring of Honor TV episode.

The inaugural National Champion will be decided at AEW Full Gear later this month in a Casino Gauntlet match with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin the first two competitors official for the Gauntlet.

Final Battle will mark the first time that an AEW title will be defended on ROH programming.

Also official for Final Battle are the finals of the ROH Women’s Pure Championship tournament to crown that title’s inaugural champion.

Deonna Purrazzo advanced to the semifinals in the tournament on Thursday’s episode and will face Queen Aminata if Aminata is medically cleared. On the other side of the bracket, Billie Starkz awaits the winner of Serena Deeb vs. Yuka Sakazaki for the other semifinal bout.

Final Battle will stream on HonorClub from Columbus, Ohio on Friday, December 5.
