After the challenge was issued on Monday, ROH has confirmed that Marty Scurll vs. Jay White is official for Supercard of Honor XIV.
Marty Scurll made a surprise appearance at Monday's New Beginning USA tour in North Carolina and issued a challenge to NJPW star Jay White.
Scurll appeared at the NJPW New Beginning USA event in Durham, North Carolina and issued a challenge to White for a match at ROH's Supercard of Honor XIV. White had already been advertised for the show.
Scurll hasn’t been seen in NJPW since his participation in last year’s Best of the Super Juniors tournament. He re-signed with Ring of Honor earlier this year and now has more influence in booking decisions alongside longtime booker Hunter Johnson.
A number of NJPW names have been announced for Supercard of Honor XIV including KENTA, El Phantasmo, Rocky Romero, Amazing Red, Will Ospreay and Taiji Ishimori. Nick Aldis and Dan Maff have also been announced.
Jay White, Villain Enterprises (PCO, Scurll, Brody King and Flip Gordon), La Faccion Ingobernable (Rush, Dragon Lee, Kenny King and Amy Rose) Slex, Session Moth Martina, Jeff Cobb, Jay Lethal, Mark Haskins and PJ Black are the ROH talents confirmed for the event.
Supercard of Honor XIV will take place at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida on April 4.
