ROH champion issues open challenge
Deonna Purrazzo wants to take on all challengers.
The ROH Women’s Pure Champion issued an open challenge in a backstage segment on ROH TV this week.
Purrazzo said:
“It’s time to start creating my legacy as the first-ever, reigning and defending, Ring of Honor Pure Women’s Champ. So let me officially issue an open challenge to anyone anywhere because I am a fighting champion by design.”
A date for the first ROH Women’s Pure title open challenge has yet to be announced.
Purrazzo became the inaugural holder of the title by defeating Billie Starkz in the finals of a tournament at Final Battle 2025. Since winning the championship, Purrazzo teamed with Madison Rayne in Rayne’s final match, a loss to Starkz and Diamante on the December 21 ROH taping at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Purrazzo is 9–0 in ROH Pure rules matches dating back to last May. She has not lost a singles match in ROH since returning to the promotion earlier this year for the first time since 2018.
