The Premier Athletes (Shawn Daivari & Tony Nese) (w/ “Smart Mark” Sterling) vs. Top Flight (Dante & Darius Martin) (w/ Christopher Daniels)

Darius and Daivari got this match going as they got into a wrist-lock exchange. Daivari took it to Darius by going after the arm, but Darius countered into a waistlock posiition. Daivari broke the hold by going to the ropes as the slow, methodical start continued.

Neither man had the advantage here until Daivari was hit iwth a jawbreaker from Darius. The tag to Dante, who hit a leaping attack on Daivari. A punch from Daivari to Dante allowed Nese to tag in as we still continued with the technical pace here. Snapmare by Dante was followed by a dropkick as Darius entered with an inverted atomic drop.

Nese forced Darius back to the Premier Atheltes corner as Daivari got back into the match. A bite from Daivari quickened the pace slightly, as the Premier Athletes seemed to have the upper hand here early. Dante thrown out of the ring as Nese threw him into the barricade. In the ring, Daivari chopped Darius and kept him held for Nese to batter Darius with punches to the ribs. Darius took a back elbow from Nese as Daivari made the tag. Snapmare into the knee strikes to Darius’s back by Daivari was followed by a resthold. Darius rolled up Daivari for a pin, but the referee was distracted by Dante unintentionally.

Nese kept Darius isolated from his brother as Daivari got Darius with a neckbreaker. Headlock countered into a schoolboy pin, but Daivari kicked out of Darius’ pin. Momentum shifting as Darius got Daivari with a standing suplex. Both men down and struggling to their corners, but it’s Dante who got the hot tag.

Springboard dropkick by Dante on Nese as he more than held his own against the Premier Athletes. Sprinboard DDT from Dante only got a two-count as Nese kicked out. Tag to Darius, but the blind tag by the Premier Athletes was able to keep Darius pacified…. not for long. Double tornado DDT by Darius on both Nese and Daivari. Mark Sterling got on the apron, but Christopher Daniels punched him in the face. Back in the ring, kick by Nese to Darius as he and Daivari hit the Magic Killer. Nese held Dante in place, but a last-second dodge caused Nese to plow through Daivari instead.

With Daivari left alone, he was at the mercy of the Martin brothers’ elevated double DDT and a victory for Top Flight.

Top Flight def. The Premier Athletes via pinfall

Solid opener that started with a nice technical pace that escalated as the match rolled on. I liked this.

The Colons (Eddie & Orlando Colon) & Serpentico vs. The Infantry (Capt. Shawn Dean & Carlie Bravo) & Shane Taylor

Bravo and Serpentico kicked off this trios bout. The masked Serpentico attempted to use his speed to get the advantage early, but Bravo grounded him with a shoulder block. “I hate snakes!” shouted Bravo, but Serpentico rocked him with a spinning back elbow, followed by the arm drag on Shawn Dean. Shane Taylor tagged in and absolutely threw Eddie across the ring. Eddie clipped Taylor’s knee as Orlando leapt in with a diving attack.

Taylor caught Orlando mid-air with the stunner as the Infantry went on the attack on their defenseless foe. Orlando was isolated in the S.T.P. corner as the Infantry pummeled him with punches in the corner. Bravo blasted Orlando with a closed-fist strike, and followed that with a scoop slam. Bravo took out Serpentico with a boot fromt he apron as he then hit a German Suplex on Orlando. This left Orlando at the mercy of Capt. Dean’s “B.B.C.” Bronco Buster in the corner.

Orlando hit a jawbreaker on Dean, followed by the Flatliner to create some needed separation for the hot tag on cousin Eddie, who was a house of fire on Bravo. Side Russian leg sweep by Eddie as Serpentico then flew with the swan dive. Shane Taylor broke the count up. Things quickened significantly as chaos took over the ring. At the end of it, Serpentico was left face to face with the massive Shane Taylor. A few quick kicks by Serpentico, but Taylor caught the last kick and then dropped Serpentico with the STP Driver for the win.

Shane Taylor Promotions def. Serpentico & The Colons via pinfall

The that S.T.P. posseses is unmatched, and it’s carried them to being a very underrated aspect of ROH and AEW. Glad they’re getting a bigger focus.

Mason Madden (w/ Mansoor) vs. Terry Yaki

Madden overpowered Yaki with a powerful shove across the ring. Yaki attempted a waistlock, but got backed into the corner by Madden. A huge chop by Madden as he caught Yaki for the standing leg drop. A side kick from Madden soon was followed by a chokeslam attempt. Yaki got away from it and as he hit a springboard dropkick on Madden. He tried for a suicide dive, but Madden made an amazing catch to slam him on the outside in one fell swoop.

Back in the ring, Madden connected with the big elbow for the quick victory.

After the match, Mansoor said that Madden obliterated that young boy so quickly, so he said it was time for a bonus bout featuring Mansoor. He told Madden to go to the back to warm up the shower as the open match was coming up.

Short but sweet here. That catch on the the Terry Yaki suicide dive was quite amazing.

Mansoor vs. Ace Austin

Austin and Mansoor got into a bit of a pose-off as this match got underway, but the latter threw his robe at the former to get a dirty advantage early on. Mansoor’s advantage evaporated as Austin tossed him over the back with a nice back body drop. Toehold by Austin was followed by the magistral pin for a near-fall. Dropkick by Austin kept Mansoor grounded. Claws to the face of Austin by Mansoor, as he then hit a Shining Wizard for the two-count. Austin’s leg was targeted by Mansoor as he called his foe an “ugly goblin”. The hurt leg was pulled at by Mansoor with a turnbuckle-assisted leg crab. Dropkick to the leg of Austin by Mansoor only got a two-count.

Mansoor took time to trash talk the crowd as he hoisted Austin on his shoulders and went for a squat. Austin countered into a crucifix pin for a two. Austin and Mansoor traded chops until an inverted atomic drop led to a spinebuster. Modtified standing death lock by Mansoor forced Austin to grab the bottom ropes to break the hold. Mansoor tried for a running dropkick to the corner, but Austin avoided it. Hip toss by Austin to Mansoor as he then got him with the side Russian legsweep. Guillotine leg drop by Austin as he then got Mansoor with the one-legged springboard crossbody.

Enzuigiri by Austin, but he was soon planted with a Mansoor German suplex. Austin caught Mansoor and hit an amazing squatting powerbomb before he finished his foe off with the Fold.

Ace Austin def. Mansoor via pinfall

Ace Austin is a talent who’s one of the more underrated stars across both AEW and ROH. He’s destined for big things, especially as he gets more reps in.
