Two matches added to ROH Past vs. Present

Update --

Xavier vs. Jay Lethal is now official for Past vs. Present. ROH uploaded a video today where Xavier accepted Lethal's challenge.

Former ROH Pure Champion John Walters has also been announced for the show.

A matchup of technicians has been added to Ring of Honor's Past vs. Present event.

ROH announced today that Doug Williams vs. Jonathan Gresham will take place at Past vs. Present. The show is being held at Sam's Town Live in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, March 14.

Williams was the second-ever Pure Champion in ROH history, holding the title for 42 days in 2004.

Williams tweeted about his in-ring status yesterday: "Thought I should put this out there since I’ve had a few enquiries. I intend to honour my retirement in the UK and so won’t be accepting wrestling bookings here. The only exception is if any foreign company I am contracted to or work run a tour here, then I might... if forced. I am still however open to making non-wrestling appearances, training seminars, backstage roles etc. and other foreign wrestling bookings."

Gresham & Jay Lethal are the current ROH Tag Team Champions.

Generation Next (Alex Shelley & Matt Sydal) vs. Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll & Flip Gordon) has also been confirmed for Past vs. Present, along with Homicide vs. Brody King. ROH posted a video last week where Lethal challenged former ROH World Champion Xavier to a match at the show.

Past vs. Present is part of ROH's 18th Anniversary weekend. Their 18th Anniversary pay-per-view is taking place at Sam's Town Live on Friday, March 13.
