Shawn Michaels invites NBA star Joel Embiid to WWE NXT
Triple H and Shawn Michaels have invited the reigning NBA MVP to WWE.
Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid was recently fined $35,000 by the NBA after performing a crotch chop during a game. This led to Triple H inviting Embiid to WrestleMania 40.

Embiid’s 76ers are on a road trip on April 6 & 7, 2024 so he will be unable to attend. He responded to Triple H’s post by saying he’d “love to” but he won’t be in Philadelphia on those dates.

This led to Shawn Michaels inviting Embiid to show up in WWE NXT anytime he chooses.

This isn’t the first time Embiid has been involved with DX. In 2021, Embiid and Triple H came out together to ring the bell before Game 1 of the 76ers vs. Atlanta Hawks Eastern Conference Semifinals. They entered to the DX theme music, wore DX shirts, and used a sledgehammer to ring the bell.
