Tasha Steelz explains decision to re-sign with TNA
TNA wrestler Tasha Steelz breaks her decision to re-sign with the promotion and outlining goals she hopes to achieve.
Steelz told Denise Salcedo in an exclusive interview that she pondered over her TNA signing for 48 hours before signing the dotted line, and the support from the women’s division throughout her tenure.
“I had to think about it, it took me, I would say a good 48 hours to think about it. One thing about me is I’m a loyal girl and I like to stay loyal and I know that this Knockouts division from day one has helped me and a lot of women in the division has helped me and there’s no way I can turn my back on these ladies. So, I have to stick around.”
Steelz highlighted a key point during her TNA run was the singles run after disbanding the tag team with Kiera Hogan.
“I would have to say me branching out on my own because it was when I was with Kiera and we were tag team champions and at a time she wasn’t sure whether she was going to stay or go. I didn’t think about ‘Hey what will happen if I am by myself’. I would just I’m thinking like ‘Hey listen we’re gonna be together and she’s gonna stick around’ but when it actually happened that I had to go out there and go in the deep end it was like I can’t just be another name on the roster.”
“So I had to get on there and I had to go in the race of being on my own. And I think just being the Knockouts Champion, even though it was a short tim, I felt like it was one a good era for me because it was a lot of a proven ground, not just having the title, but actually being able to get in the ring with the greatest women that have come through TNA.”
“I’ll have some more moments now that I’m sticking around with TNA. I’ll have some more moments to accomplish.”
TNA Wrestling officially announced her re-signing and confirmed her appearance for Slammiversary on June 26 at Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts.
