The Undertaker reveals which current WWE star would have likely retired him in 2026
Since adopting ‘the career killer’ in 2025, Gunther built a reputation for targeting veterans of the industry. The Undertaker believes that had his wrestling career extended till now, Gunther would have probably been the man to retire him.
On the Insight Podcast, Chris Van Vliet asked The Undertaker if Gunther would have been his final opponent had he retired in 2026. The WWE Hall of Famer responded that it would have been highly likely given that he is a fan of Gunther’s in-ring work. He proceeded to praise Oba Femi and Trick Williams as upcoming, top names of the industry.
“Yeah. I mean, that would be a good one for sure. I like the way he (Gunther) works, and I like the way he takes his time and builds to a crescendo in a match. But there’s guys like Oba out there now, and one of the guys that I think may be the biggest star may be Trick Williams. I love Trick. All those guys I would have loved to have worked with.”
The Undertaker further specified that Williams has the essence of being a ‘real big player’ in WWE.
“He’s just got that thing, right. He’s got that swagger. And I’ve talked to him a few times and he’s just a little bit more of a mean streak away from being a real big player, I think.”
