Update on Mike Santana’s TNA contract and expected expiry date

Mike Santana TNA World Champion

TNA World Champion Mike Santana’s contract is expected to be coming up very soon, and a new report indicates that it could be as early as mid-July. According to Mike Johnson at PWInsider, Santana’s “TNA deal runs through mid-July, so he is about a month away from the expiration of his contract.”

It was previously reported that Santana’s deal would be coming up in July with no specific date. So while we still don’t have the specifics confirmed, we know that “mid-July” is probably a more accurate timeframe.

Could Mike Santana go to WWE?

WrestleVotes recently reported that there is “interest from the WWE side” in acquiring Santana, who is said to be well-regarded for his professionalism along with his work in the ring. The report says, while it isn’t known which brand he would land on if he does sign, WWE would like him to be on the main roster before the end of 2026.

There’s no confirmation on whether WWE will be offering Santana a contract once his deal with TNA is up, but it does look like they’ve been keeping tabs on him for some time.

Santana will be defending his TNA World Championship against Nic Nemeth at Slammiversary next weekend from Boston.
