Former TNA champion Moose has confirmed that he suffered a back injury at TNA Genesis 2026.

At TNA Genesis 2026 on January 17th, 2026, Moose faced off against Joe Hendry and Cedric Alexander, where Hendry emerged victorious.

A few days after the bout, Moose shared an important update about his health on social media and announced “suffering” a serious injury.

For those who watched TNA Genesis I did suffer a serious injury. From the bottom of my heart I want to sincerely thank everyone for all their concern and get well soon wishes.”

Despite his back being “super stiff”, the 41-year-old announced that he is now “ok” to appear for TNA’s next episode live from Albuquerque, New Mexico.

My back is super stiff still at the moment but I should be ok for [TNA] AMC live in Albuquerque.

Multiple spots in the match saw Hendry target Moose’s back, where Hendry even launched Moose back-first onto the steel steps. However, there have been no confirmations regarding the exact spot or when the injury took place.

Moose has had a history of back injuries, including one he suffered during his match against Leon Slater at Slammiversary 2025.
