New champion crowned at TNA Final Resolution

The TNA International Championship changed hands at Friday’s Final Resolution event.

Stacks (formerly known as Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo) of WWE NXT defeated Steve Maclin to claim the International Championship on Friday’s show in El Paso, Texas. Stacks becomes the third different wrestler to hold the International title since its inception earlier this year.

Maclin was the inaugural champion after winning a tournament final at Unbreakable in April, then dropped the title to Frankie Kazarian in September at Victory Road, before winning the belt back at Bound for Glory in October.

It was a big night for the Stacks character who was also featured in the show-closing brawl between WWE NXT wrestlers and members of the TNA roster, including TNA authority figure Santino Marella. As revealed on NXT programming earlier this year, Stacks is engaged to Marella’s daughter, NXT wrestler Arianna Grace.
