Open challenge title match announced for TNA Slammiversary

Ultimate X match announced for TNA Slammiversary

Mustafa Ali is now scheduled to defend his International title at TNA Slammiversary in an open challenge.

On the latest June 18 episode of TNA Impact, it was announced that Mustafa Ali will defend his TNA International Championship at Slammiversary on June 28, 2026, in an open challenge contest.

During the latest episode of TNA Impact, Ali had a real slim chance of getting added to the TNA World title bout at Slammiversary. However, things did not go that way.

During the tag match on Impact between Order 4 (Mustafa Ali, John Skyler & Jason Hotch) and Nic Nemeth, Mike Santana, and K.C. Navarro, fans saw authority figure Daria Rae warn Slammiversary opponents Nic Nemeth and Mike Santana that if they put hands on one another during the match, there would be changes to their title match at the PPV.

Rae added that if Nemeth attacked Santana, he would be removed from the title match, and if Santana touched Nemeth, he would be stripped of the World Championship. In both scenarios, Ali would have stepped in and filled in for the competitor who was removed. However, both Nemeth and Santana stayed away from each other and finished the match.

Shortly after, it was announced that Ali would instead defend his TNA International Championship in an open challenge match at Slammiversary. Ali’s opponent remains a mystery and has not been announced yet.
