Report: Details on new TNA wrestler’s contract
New details on Elayna Black’s TNA contract.
On Thursday’s premiere episode of Impact on AMC, Black made her debut for the promotion following a sabbatical from pro wrestling. Fightful Select is reporting that she is a full member of the company’s roster moving forward and is signed for a one-year deal that will take her through 2026.
Black was formerly known as Cora Jade during her run in NXT, holding the NXT Women’s Tag Team titles at one point. However, she was released in May of last year along with other WWE & NXT talent. After her no compete was up, Jade made appearances in the independent circuit until July when she decided to take a break from professional wrestling.
“It’s no longer good for my mental health and I’ll never know if that love for it I once had will return if I don’t step away,” she said at the time. “I’m gonna take the rest of the year to take care of me and go from there.”
Black was introduced on television by Daria Rae (Sonya Deville) who minutes before was established as a new authority figure on TNA television.
