Report: TNA finalizes short-term deals with several wrestlers
An update on upcoming TNA deals.
Fightful Select reported on Sunday that the company has made progress on the upcoming wave of talent deals coming due at the end of 2025. According to the report, TNA has “effectively finalized a number of short term deals” with several talent, many of them lasting around three months. Fightful didn’t say who signed these short-term deals.
The report further said that talent have preferred these type of deals in order to give both parties flexibility, keeping their options open. It was also noted from TNA sources that signing shorter deals gives them more financial flexibility, and allows them to bring in talent who aren’t interested in longer-term deals.
Some talent contracts that have been reported as coming due include Jake Something, Zachary Wentz, AJ Francis, and Steve Maclin. Joe Hendry, a former TNA World Champion, has officially left the promotion and has signed with WWE, appearing on NXT television. He also made a surprise appearance at Saturday Night’s Main Event prior to John Cena’s final match.
