Report: TNA ‘has been in talks’ for return of released AEW wrestler
According to a new report, Trey Miguel could be headed back to TNA Wrestling.
Fightful Select reports that the promotion “has been in talks” to bring Miguel back following his recent release from AEW.
Along with Zachary Wentz, Dezmond Xavier, and Myron Reed, Miguel signed with AEW and was set to debut with the rest of the group at last week’s AEW show in Phoenix. The group ultimately debuted in a backstage segment on Collision without Miguel. It was later reported that he had been released from the company shortly after signing. The decision was said to have come from Warner Bros. Discovery due to a controversial social media post by Miguel in 2020.
Miguel had been with TNA since 2017 before his contract expired at the end of 2025. In 2020, he remained with the company while Wentz and Xavier signed with WWE and went to NXT. Miguel is a two-time X-Division Champion and also held the TNA World Tag Team titles alongside Wentz.
