Steve Maclin injury update following TNA Sacrifice
There is a positive update on Steve Maclin following an injury scare at TNA Sacrifice.
The main event of Friday’s show was stopped early after Maclin was hurt taking a superkick from Mike Santana. Later that night, Bryan Alvarez reported that Maclin was up and walking backstage, though there was concern he may have suffered a concussion.
In an update on Saturday morning, John Alba of The Takedown on SI.com reported that TNA President Carlos Silva confirmed Maclin was sent to the hospital after the show, where he passed all medical evaluations, was not diagnosed with a concussion, and was later cleared to return to his hotel.
“TNA president Carlos Silva told The Takedown that Maclin was not ultimately diagnosed with a concussion, as he cleared all of his tests and was released to go back to his hotel for the night,” wrote Jon Alba.
Maclin is scheduled to wrestle in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, on Saturday night as part of the MLP Uprising pay-per-view. It is unclear if he will still perform on the show.
