TNA announces World title match for live episode on July 30
TNA Wrestling has announced a World title match for later this month.
On Wednesday, the promotion revealed that Jeff Hardy will challenge TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth for the title on the Thursday, July 30 live edition of Impact from the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia.
TNA wrote:
“The stage is set for one of the biggest TNA World Championship Matches in company history: reigning TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth battles Jeff Hardy on Thursday, July 30, live on Thursday Night iMPACT!, airing on AMC in the United States.
This is the first-ever singles match between the two pro wrestling legends for the World Championship. Nemeth battled Jeff Hardy on May 15, 2025, then marking their first one-on-one battle in 16 years.”
Hardy is a three-time TNA World Champion. He last held the title in 2013 before losing it to Bully Ray at Lockdown on March 10 of that year.
TNA will return to the Liacouras Center the following night on July 31 for another set of television tapings. They will be the final live events held by the promotion before TNA Lockdown, which is scheduled for Sunday, August 23 from Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago, Illinois.
