Taped! From Atlanta, Georgia.

Tom Hannifan & Matthew Rehwoldt were on commentary.

Mustafa Ali (w/ Order 4) v. BDE (w/ Rich Swann)

Ali caught BDE going for a crossbody and tried  to turn it into a fallaway slam, but BDE countered that into a crucifix bomb in a nice spot. Ali dropped to the floor, and BDE followed him out with a dive. Back in the ring, Ali went to work on BDE’s leg, but BDE escaped with a enziguri. BDE missed a splash in the corner, allowing Ali him to catch him with a rolling neckbreaker out of the corner.

BDE ducked a clothesline and hit a running knee. Ali came back with a superkick. BDE hit a springboard cutter, then went to the top. BDE hit a frog splash for a near fall. BDE went for another springboard cutter, but Ali knocked him out of the air, then broke him half with a sit-out powerbomb. Ali hit his “Dance with the Devil” finisher, essentially a flatliner, to get the pinfall.

Match Result: Ali pinned BDE (4:46)

After the match, Order 4 attacked Rich Swann, which drew out Trey Miguel. Miguel took out Agent Zero with hit title belt, but was soon overwhelmed by the rest of Order 4. Jada Stone ran out and took Ali down with a top rope hurricanrana, then dodged the Great Hands. Agent Zero went to chokeslam Stone, but Miguel got her out of harm’s way.

— Gia Miller interviewed Leon Slater and Mike Santana about their upcoming matches at Sacrifice and tonight’s main event. Daria Rae came along to remind Santana that there’s already a tournament in place (which Santana will not be a part of) if he touches Steve Maclin before tomorrow night’s main event.

Brian Myers (w/ The System) v. Jeff Hardy (w/ Matt Hardy)

The Hardys made nice with some former Atlanta Falcons stars in the front row.

Jeff started off strong against Myers. Myers tripped him up to get an advantage. Myers escaped a Twist of Fate attempt from Jeff and hit an implant DDT for two. Jeff ducked a clothesline and caught Myers with the Twist of Fate, then hit the Swanton Bomb to get the pinfall.

Match Result: Jeff pinned Myers (3:18).

After the match, the rest of The System jumped Jeff. Matt tried to make the save, but it was four on two, so he didn’t fare much better. The Righteous ran in to make the save, and The Righteous, The Hardys and The System brawled through the crowd and to the back. Well, almost all the members of the system—Bear Bronson was left behind in the ring. And just then, Moose’s music hit.

Moose (w/ Alisha Edwards) v. Bear Bronson

Lots of chops in this one. Bronson ducked a charge and tossed Moose with a suplex. The fight went to the floor, where Moose whipped Bronson into the steel steps. Bronson came back by suplexing Moose on the floor.

After Bronson tossed Moose back into the ring, he gave the business to Alisha Edwards. Back in the ring, Bronson dropped an elbow for a near fall. More chops for Moose. Moose caught Bronson with a pump kick and sent him to the floor, but Bronson tripped him up on the apron. Bronson squashed Moose with a senton on the apron.

Bronson superplexed Moose off the top, but Moose powered out before a one count, firing up the crowd. Moose made his comeback, hitting a headbutt, a forearm in the corner, an uranage and a senton. Moose charged at Bronson and ran right into a pop up powerbomb. Moose kicked out at two.

Moose and Bear exchanged more chops, with Moose getting the advantage. Moose charged at Bronson again, but this time Bronson caught him with a Black Hole Slam. Bronson and Moose exchanged clotheslines, and Bronson actually got the better of Moose… and then Moose floored Bronson with a discus lariat.

Just when it looked like Moose was going to finish off Bronson, the other members of The System distracted him. Before they could get to the ring, the Atlanta Falcons jumped the rail and kept The System from interfering. Back in the ring, Moose hit Bronson with the spear and got the pinfall.

Match Result: Moose pinned Bronson after a spear (12:28).

This was a tremendous showing from Bear Bronson, who looked great in losing. After the match, the former Falcons celebrated in the ring with Moose.

— Gia Miller interviewed Mara Sadé about her match at Sacrifice (she didn’t even mention her opponent). After the interview, Mara got a magical note that told her to follow the White Rabbit. Oh please don’t drag Sadé down into this mess with Rosemary and Allie. To Be Continued…

— The System was in a random stairwell making threats. Bear Bronson and Brian Myers—the two guys who just lost matches—threatened to take their tag team championship. The Hardys should really be scared of that. Eddie Edwards also promised to take Moose down at Sacrifice. After The System left the stairwell, The Righteous were shown lurking.

Mila Moore, Victoria Crawford & Tessa Blanchard v. Harley Hudson, Myla Grace & Jody Threat

The story here was that Threat was no match for Blanchard’s partners, and Blanchard was no match for Threat’s partners.

Grace tried of a kind of crossface on Moore, who escaped by getting to the ropes. Crawford got the tag, and Grace tripped her up and hit a dropkick for two. Threat got the tag and ran wild on all three of her opponents. Threat stacked all three of them up against the ropes, then hit them with a charge. She suplexed Blanchard, then Moore, then dumped Crawford with a fallaway slam.

Grace and Hudson hit Moore and Blanchard with dives on the floor. Threat missed a charge at Blanchard, who suplexed Threat on the steel stairs. Blanchard dumped Hudson with a superkick, then took out Grace with a hammerlock DDT and got the pinfall.

Match Result: Blanchard, Moore & Crawford won after Blanchard pinned Grace (6:16).

The TNA Injury Report:

  • Indi Hartwell is still out with a bad knee from getting jumped by Arianna Grace.
  • Ash by Elegance is also out with mental health concerns.
  • Leon Slater’s neck is bothering him, but he’s still cleared because when has a sore neck led to anything bad for a wrestler?

Wrath

I hate these things, and they encapsulate my biggest problem with TNA right now: they trot out all these old characters who I dont know and if I don’t know them the new AMC audience doesn’t know them, either. A guy in a mask appears, he takes his mask off,, and it’s apparently Rosemary’s brother. He can see Allie. Allie gets reintroduced, but the bald guy just yells about life and death. He’s a flawed design, and he ranted about life and death. Based on some research, this characther might have been Crazzy Steve.

These things are stupid. Mara Sadé’s involvement was teased earlier, which didn’t happen tonight so the follow up will probably come at No Surrender. Also, the commentators are completely ignoring these segments so there is no storyline insights coming from them, either.

Eric Young v. Brad Attitude

Attitude kicked out after a Death Valley Driver. Young chased the referee out of the ring, which gave Attitude the opportunity to hit Young with a dive. Back in the ring, Attitude hit a slingshot senton. Attitude went to the top, but Young crotched him, then finished him off with a piledriver.

Match Result: Young pinned Attitude (3:51).

— Matt Hardy was attacked in the stairs! The same stairs where The System were cutting promos on them. The Righteous (who were also hanging out in that stairwell, surely just a coincidence) promised revenge for the Hardys, but Matt made it clear he didn’t know who attacked him, since he was jumped from behind.

Buff Bagwell Appearance

Gia Miller interviewed Buff Bagwell in front of the live crowd. Buff thanked God for being with him every step of the way on his journey, which has included getting his leg amputated last year. Bagwell apologized for his behavior over the last twenty years, and promised that if the fans get behind him, he would walk to the ring and wrestle for TNA one more time.

Frankie Kazarian came out to mock Bagwell “walking” to the ring. Kazarian said Buff was “half the man he used to be” while Kazarian was “twice the man he ever was.” Elijah appeared to chase Kazarian off, and offered to walk down to the ring with Bagwell.

— Santino Marella announced that Matt Hardy was injured and wouldn’t compete at Sacrifice. The Righteous showed up to offer Vincent as Jeff’s partner against The Systems’ Brian Myers and Cedric Alexander. Marella made the match for Sacrifice.

Even the commentators were suspicious of Vincent’s and Dutch’s motives.

— Mara Sadé v. Elayna Black was added to the Sacrifice card as a no diqualification match.

Eddie Edwards & Cedric Alexander (w/ The System) v. Mike Santana & Leon Slater

If Steve Maclin attacks Santana during this match, he’ll be banned from TNA for life and erased from the company’s history. I’m sure the guy who was fired and then rehired a month later is worried about that being enforced.

Santana and Slater took it to Alexander in the opening moments. They combined to suplex Alexander. Alexander backed Santana into The System’s corner, which allowed the heels to take control.

Santana tagged in Slater, who ran wild on Edwards. Slater rocked Edwards with a boot in the corner. Slater came off the top with a crossbody for two. Brian Myers and Bear Bronson distracted Slater, and Alexander slammed him down onto the ring apron.

Alexander backed Slater into the corner with chops before Edwards tagged in and booted Slater down. Alexander dropped a knee on Slater for a near fall, then wore Slater down with a chinlock. Slater fought free and caught Alexander with a leg lariat.

Santana got the tag and took the fight to Edwards, hitting him with a flying lariat. Santana followed that up with  rolling cutter for a near fall. Slater and Santana slammed Edwards. Slater hit a splash, and Santana followed that with a moonsault off Slater’s back—an old LAX double-team.

Edwards avoided  the rolling lariat and escaped an enziguri. Edwards then planted Santana with a backpack stunner. Alexander flew in with a frog splash, but Edwards only got two. Santana slammed Edwards then Alexander hit Santana with a Michinoku Driver.

Edwards went for the Boston Knee Party, but Santana ducked and took out Edwards with a Death Valley Driver. Edwards rolled to the floor, and Santana took out both of his opponents with a tope con hilo.

Slater looked to dive after them, but  Steve Maclin ran in and choked him out. Santana and Maclin came face-to-face but didn’t come to blows, so no one got stripped of his title or erased from history. Slater recovered and super kicked Maclin, but back in the ring, and Edwards took him out with the Boston Knee Party to get the pinfall.

Match Result: Edwards and Alexander won with Edwards pinned Santana (12:30ish)

The final Sacrifice card:

  • Mike Santana v. Steve Maclin for the TNA World Championship
  • Leon Slater v. Eric Young for the X Division Championship
  • Arianna Grace v. Lei Ying Lee v. Dani Luna for the TNA Knockouts World Championship
  • Moose v. Eddie Edwards
  • Mustafa Ali & Tasha Steelz v. Trey Miguel & Jada Stone
  • Elijah & The Home Town Man v. Frankie Kazarian & AJ Francis
  • Mara Sadé v. Elayna Black in a no disqualificaiton match.
  • Jeff Hardy & Vincent v. Brian Myers & Cedric Alexander.
