TNA Impact ratings take a hit against World Cup action

The World Cup continues to do damage to pro wrestling ratings.

Case in point, last week’s TNA Impact averaged 188,000 viewers on AMC, down 26.3% from the previous week’s 255,000 and their lowest audience in five weeks.

The episode averaged a 0.02 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 60% from the prior week and tying its all-time lowest record on AMC.

It was the go-home show for last Sunday’s Slammiversary pay-per-view.

The World Cup, going head-to-head, topped all television with over 17 million viewers and a 5.08 rating in the 18-49 demo.

Impact tied for 91st on the cable charts in the 18-49 demo and was 86th in terms of total viewers on cable for the night.
