TNA Impact live results: Nic Nemeth and Jeff Hardy contract signing
TNA Wrestling is back on AMC tonight.
Matches for this week’s show were taped at the Liacouras Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Scheduled for the show is a contract signing between Nic Nemeth and Jeff Hardy for their TNA World Championship match, which will air on next week’s episode.
AJ Francis will go one-on-one with The Home Town Man, who seemingly will be from Philadelphia this week.
KC Navarro is coming off his recent loss to Nic Nemeth in a TNA World Championship match. He will go up against Brian Myers of The System this week.
The Knockouts TV Championship tournament will continue with a quarterfinal match between Mara Sade and Heather By Elegance.
Matt Hardy will be in action against Ryan Nemeth in another Hardy vs. Nemeth match.
Plus, The Righteous are advertised, and Xia Brookside will defend the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Wendy Choo.

There’s a lot of questions in tonight’s episode of TNA Impact. Have the Righteous gotten even weirder after emerging from the Lake of Reincarnation? How many times will AJ Francis say the word “money?” Will Jeff Hardy or Mara Sade sign a contract?
We’ll get to all of it, but to kick things off: Jason Hotch, new TNA International Champion, arrives to work!
TNA World Tag Team Champion Matt Hardy vs Ryan Nemeth
Nemeth and Hardy are meeting tonight in singles action before their brothers join them in a TNA World Tag Team Championship match at Lockdown. Jeff also has a match against Nic Nemeth for the TNA World Title, but we can’t talk about that yet because the contracts haven’t been signed.
Matt went right to the throat, choking Ryan until he fell to his knees. Matt threw some strikes, but Ryan came up swinging and the two took turns throwing each other into corners, until Matt stood on Ryans head.
Ryan exploded out of the corner, avoiding a Twist of Fate an DDT’ing Matt. Ryan hit him with a chin breaker, and then suplexed Him, but Matt stood right back up and threw hands. Ryan raked Matt’s eye across the ropes and took a second to mug for the crowd.
Ryan took Matt down with a snapmare and grabbed a headlock. Matt battled back and took Ryan down with a clothesline. Matt threw a back elbow and then a leg drop for a two count. Ryan tried to punch him, but Matt countered it into a Side Effect.
Matt dropped an elbow and called for Deletion. He went for a twist of fate, but Nic grabbed his ankle and tripped him before he could execute. Jeff, who has some paperwork for Nic, grabbed him on the outside and they brawled as Matt hit the Twist of Fate in the ring and got the pin to pick up the victory.
Match Result: Matt Hardy defeated Ryan Nemeth
-Backstage, TNA Knockouts World Champion Xia Brookside was interviewed. Brookside said that she’s approaching tonight’s mat against Wendy Choo as she approaches everything: As a champion. Brookside said she will not allow Choo to take the Knockouts title back to NXT. Brookside mentioned Elayna Black and that made her appear. Black said that Choo is going to take Brookside’s title tonight. Brookside then left in a huff, like you do.
-Back from break, Jason Hotch was hanging out in the hall with his family. He was asked what his victory means to him. Spoiler: It means everything. Hotch dedicated the win to his family and promised not to take being the champion for granted. Rich Swann and BDE stepped into frame to congratulate Hotch, then stepped back out again as the segment ended.
TNA Knockouts Television Championship Tournament Quarterfinals Match: Heather by Elegance vs Mara Sadé
Sade defeated Tasha Steelz in order to reach the Quarterfinals and Heather got one over on Allie to move forward. The winner of this match moves into the Semifinals, where they have a date with Jada Stone.
They locked up off the top with Heather grabing a waistlock. Sade flipped out of it and rolled Heather up for a two count. After running the ropes, Heather got a stomp on Sade and put her in an arm bar. Sade had about an 8 inch height difference on Heather, which was apparent when she whipped her into the ropes like a child.
Sade hit a dropkick from the top rope and then set her up for a splash(?) on the apron, but Heather got her legs up and redirected Sade into the ring post. On the outside, Heather worked Sade’s arm over, trying to take away her reach.
Back in the ring, Heather slammed Sade’s head onto the canvas. Sade bounced back though with some stomach shots. Heather wasn’t ready to give up control and tied her up, twisting her arm and shoulder around.
Heather went for some stomps and then went back to continue working Sade’s arm. She locked in a cross arm breaker, but Sade wouldn’t give up. She rolled Heather over and picked her up to dump her onto the turnbuckle. She nailed Heather with a dropkick and the two traded blows in the middle of the ring.
Sade sent Heather off the ropes for a clothesline and then splashed her in the corner. Sade landed a Monkey Flip and then laid down some punches until the Ref broke it up. She set Heather up for a powerbomb and planted her for a cover. Heather managed to kick out at two though.
They moved to the outside where Sade dropped Heather face first onto the apron (the most elegant part of the ring!). She hit a dropkick from the stairs then threw Heather back in. Sade went up top, but Heather scrambled up and pushed her off. Heather hit a missile dropkick and that was it. Heather picks up the win to advance in the tournament.
Match Result: Heather By Elegance defeated Mara Sade
During the entire match, all Commentary would talk about was the possibility of an Elegance vs Elegance final. So expect that on your screens soon.
-Moose cut a promo from the back about Frankie Kazarian, reminding us all that they are still feuding. Still. Moose said that he’s dependable and will always be part of TNA. He said that Kazarian shouldn’t call himself the King of TNA because he hasn’t earned it. He then challenged Kazarian for Lockdown to see if he could earn that nickname. Perhaps we put it on a pole?
-Back from break, Jason Hotch told his wife and daughter he’d be right back. Then they played with a dinosaur until Mustafa Ali arrived to be creepy around them. Ali reminded them that he had taken care of the whole family for a long time. He said that he wasn’t upset, he was happy for Jason. But, a little hurt because he bit the hand that fed him. He told them that he has to do what he has to do to take back the TNA International Championship. He then promised to always take care of them no matter what happend to Hotch. He then put his hand on Mrs. Hotch’s knee in the worst way possible and left. I went to go have a shower to get that scene off of me.
Brian Myers /Bear Bronson vs KC Navarro
Last week, Myers made fun of Navarro for being sidelined by injury last year. Then the System beat him up 4-on-1 until Leon Slater and Ricky Sosa helped him out. So now, they are to going to fight about it.
The bell rang and they circled each other before locking up. Meyers tried to use is size advantage, but Navarro ducked everything and dropkicked him out of the ring. Then Bronson tripped up Navarro, getting himself ejected from ringside. Before he could leave though, Sosa came down and hit him with a chair, even though he’d already been ejected.
In the ring, Meyers tried to get the drop on NAvvarro, but only got a 619 for his trouble. Then Eddie Edwards rished the ring (presumeably past Sosa with the chair and attacked Navarro in the ring. The ref called for the DQ.
Match Result: KC Navarro defeated Brian Myers via DQ
Fabian Aichner then ran down to even odds and such, which brought out Director of Authority Santino Marella. Marella said that enough was enough and he was sick of the System. He then did a Teddy Long impression and made this a tag team match, player! Navarro and Aichner against Meyers and Edwards.
KC Navarro & Fabian Aichner vs Bryan Meyers & Eddie Edwards
The bell rang, again, and Aichner and Edwards fought in and out of the corners. The fight moved to the outside where Aichner and Navarro dove onto Meyers and Edwards.
Back in the ring, Navarro sent Edwards into the corner for an uppercut. Aichner tagged in and took Edwards down for a two count. Aichner set him up in the corner and punched him exactly 10 times (though the last one was more of a chop). Aichner hit a butterfly suplex and tagged in Navarro.
Aichner held Edwards, while Navarro axe-handled Edwards arm from the second rope. Navarro returned the favor and Aichner struck the other arm. He then put Edwards in an elbow teist while Navarro punched him in the stomach. Navarro and Aichner had a smooth flow to them, as if they’d been teaming for a long time.
Meyers came in a worked Navarro over, leaving him open for Alisha Edwards to grab his hair and yank. Navarro fought back and delivered a dropkick. Aichner tagged in and stomped Meyers, but Meyers sent him into the ropes where Edwards delivered a kick. Meyers went for a rollup, but no joy.
Aichner knocked Meyers around until Edwards pulled down the top rope and Aichner went spilling to the floor. Edwards threw a few chops on the outside and then threw Aichner back into the ring. He knocked Navarro off the apron and stomped Aichner, having made a tag at some point.
Meyers tagged in to cut off a tag to Navarro and he headlocked Aichner. Meyers sent Aichner into the corner, but Aichner used his momentum to hop up and nail him with a moonsault. Hot tags were made on both sides and Navarro dropkicked Edwards before hitting him with a tornado DDT for two.
Meyers shoved Navarro off the apron while Edwards worked over Aichner in the ring. Edwards went up top, but Aichner met him there for an avalanche butterfly suplex. Navarro hit a splash and went for the cover, but Edwards kicked out at two.
Aichner then turned his attention to Meyers, powerbombing him. Edwards ran in with a Boston Knee PArty and Alisha slipped Edwards a kendo stick. He nailed Navarro with it behind the ref’s back then hit a package piledriver on Navarro to get the win.
