TNA signs European star at Sacrifice
At Sacrifice tonight, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling announced the acquisition of a new talent.
TNA President Carlos Silva and Tommy Dreamer appeared on Friday’s show and brought out Chris Bey. Bey expressed how grateful he was to be standing in New Orleans, emphasizing the word “stand” after the neck injury he suffered last year. Bey then introduced Ricky Sosa, who led the crowd in some cheerleading and talked about working for five years to get there before signing his deal.
Sosa, a 6-foot-4 high-flyer, is a 21-year-old from the Netherlands. He made his debut in 2021 with Pro Wrestling Holland, going on to wrestle for Game Changer Wrestling in the United States and Westside Xtreme Wrestling in Germany. He won the wXw European Championship last December.
Earlier this year, he traded wins with Cappucino Jones, though he failed to win Jones’ WWE ID Championship and the WWE contract that comes with it. He was scheduled compete in wXw’s 16 Carat Gold Tournament earlier this month, but pulled out to appear at TNA’s tapings in Atlanta.
Sosa has been announced for the Immortal Clusterf*ck at Joey Janela’s Spring Break X in Las Vegas next month. It remains unknown whether or not he will still be appearing there.
