TNA’s Steve Maclin cleared from injury for in-ring return

Steve Maclin and Tom Hanifan

Around a month ago, at TNA Sacrifice, Steve Maclin got knocked out within minutes of his World title match. Now recovered, Maclin is ready for his in-ring comeback.

Despite fearing a concussion, Maclin was later provided a positive update on it and was not diagnosed with a concussion. Almost a month later, he has now been cleared for his comeback.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2026, Maclin shared an update on his social media announcing his clearance. ‘”AIN’T FOUND A WAY TO KILL ME YET.’ Cleared & ready to get back to work,” Maclin wrote.

The injury took place at TNA Sacrifice during his World Championship match against Mike Santana. Maclin was caught with a superkick from Santana that knocked him out.

Shortly after, he had trouble standing up while being tended to by officials. As an improvisation, Eddie Edwards ran out to brawl with Santana, and the match was thrown out. TNA referee Alice Lane was also heavily praised after the match for her quick action in recognizing Maclin’s injury.
