Dana White hated UFC fighter’s ‘nasty and false’ Michelle Obama insult at White House event

UFC boss Dana White hated the “nasty and false” remarks Josh Hokit made about Michelle Obama at Sunday night’s White House event.

Immediately after defeating Derrick Lewis on the Freedom 250 card, Hokit did a post-fight interview with Joe Rogan where he insulted the former First Lady by calling her a “man.” The moment became one of the most talked about things from the show — and White told Time magazine that he is “completely against” what Hokit said.

“I understand that the Obama’s are public figures but I’m completely against saying nasty and false things about people’s families,” White said. “Everyone knows my position on free speech but I hate that kind of nonsense.”

Time’s article called Freedom 250 “mostly an impressive show” aside from Hokit’s insult. White, a close friend of President Donald Trump, said before Freedom 250 that he wanted the event to be something fans would enjoy no matter where they fell on the political spectrum. It took place on the South Lawn of the White House as part of the celebrations for the United States’ 250th birthday.

“I don’t care if you’re the furthest crazy left, or the furthest crazy right, or right down the middle,” White told CNN leading into the event. “If you are an American, you will enjoy this show.”

There were also a group of WWE wrestlers who took part in the Freedom 250 fan fest that was held in Washington, D.C. over the weekend.
