Ian Garry makes massive prediction for Islam Makhachev fight

UFC 330 Main Event Poster

Ian Garry has the opportunity to make history at UFC 330 on August 15 in Philadelphia. Garry will be taking on Welterweight Champion Islam Makhachev, who is currently on a 16-fight winning streak, which is tied with Anderson Silva for the longest in UFC history.

So not only could the Irish star win the 170lb UFC title, he could stop Makhachev’s historic record from breaking Anderson Silva’s.

Ian Garry on UFC 330 Fight

Posting a video to his Instagram account, Garry not only predicted that he will win the fight against the current Welterweight champ, but he will “prove to the world” that Islam can’t submit him:

I don’t think Islam has a lot of weaknesses. He’s never fought someone as long and tall as me. He’s not fought someone as fast as me. He’s not fought someone who has the distance management, the boxing capabilities, the head movement that I do, but also the takedown defense.

He might get me down. I hope he does. Because I want to prove to the world that he can’t submit me. I want to prove to the world that I can get back up. I want to prove to the world that I can beat him in his own world. I don’t care how long he’s trained in that area. I’m going to bounce him on his skull. I’m going to take his title. I’m going to take his throne. And I’ll always be the guy that stopped history from happening.
