Speaking on The Benny Show, Nickal revealed the conversation he had with President Trump on the South Lawn of the White House:
“This really came full circle. I told him [President Trump], ‘Hey, when we met in 2019, I told you I was gonna fight, and look where I am now. I can’t thank you enough for making this happen, and I’m so grateful for our relationship and your support.’ This is an event that can never be replicated again, and it’s just so special to have been a part of it.”
Nickal also revealed what President Trump said to him in return, noting: “He said ‘YOU’RE THE MAN, GOOD WORK’.” Later, he called me and said I did a fantastic job and just talked about the event.”
Nickal has been suspended from fighting for four days mandatory rest following the fight at the UFC White House event. His opponent Daukaus has been suspended for 45 days, which is the mandatory rest for a TKO loss.
