UFC Fight Night 282 live results: Magomed Ankalaev vs. Bogdan Guskov
The Octagon returns to Abu Dhabi for their traditional July event on Yas Island as UFC Fight Night 282 takes place at the Etihad Arena.
The main event is a five-round bout in the light heavyweight division as former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Magomed Ankalaev takes on Bogdan Guskov. Ankalaev fights for the first time since losing the title to Alex Pereira at UFC 320 in October. Guskov, who took this fight on short notice as an injury replacement for Khalil Rountree Jr., comes into his first UFC main event riding a five-fight unbeaten streak.
The co-main event sees a flyweight bout between former title challenger Steve Erceg and Ramazan Temirov. Also on the main card is a welterweight fight between Islam Dulatov and Wellington Turman; a battle of lightweight debutants as Magomed Zaynukov battles Damian Rzepecki; and heavyweight action sees Rizvan Kuniev take on Tyrell Fortune.
*A welterweight bout between Islam Dulatov and Wellington Turman, scheduled for the main card, has been scratched from the card hours before the event after Dulatov was admitted to the hospital for an illness.

Both work the jab early as Gibson lands a leg kick. Hussein catches a Gibson kick and lands a right hand. Gibson lands a right hand. Gibson scores a takedown after Hussein throws. Gibson locks in a guillotine choke from the mount. He switches to a D’Arce choke. Hussein is rolling but Gibson is still working for a choke. Hussein is able to escape and is now on top in side control. Hussein attacking Gibson’s neck now. Hussein moves to the back, but Gibson is attacking a leg. They scramble up. They trade jabs. Hussein lands an uppercut and Gibson lands a right hand. Both are landing. Gibson lands an uppercut to the body followed by two right hands. They both land while clinched. Hussein with a head kick and then a knee and a right hand. 10-9 Gibson.
Hussein pressing forward and Gibson lands a pair of leg kicks. Hussein drops Gibson with a right hand and starts landing from the top. Gibson is trying to control but Hussein jumps on the back. Gibson scrambles and Hussein grabs the neck. Hussein back inside the half-guard of Gibson. Hussein stands and lands as he gets back into side control. Hussein is now attacking a D’Arce choke. He lets it go and they scramble. Hussein gets the mount. Hussein grabs the neck and locks in an anaconda choke, but he lets it go. Hussein with right hands from the top. Hussein keeps working from the top. 10-9 Hussein, 19-19.
Hussein rushes out and Gibson is gassed. Hussein landing, but Gibson is firing back. They clinch and Gibson was throwing to the body, but Hussein landed some knees. They separate and Hussein attacks with body shots. Gibson lands a leg kick that trips Hussein to the mat and Gibson attacks the neck. Hussein escapes and is on top. Hussein lands from the top. Gibson tries to roll out of trouble, but Hussein takes the back and lands. They briefly stand before Hussein gets it back down. Hussein looks for an arm-triangle choke. He has it locked in and Gibson taps! Hussein picks up the win in his UFC debut.

Aliev gets an immediate takedown after Davis comes forward. Davis is trying to get up, but Aliev keeps it down. They get to their feet. Aliev is pressuring against the fence looking to get it down. Aliev gets Davis down. Aliev lands some knees. Aliev with some left hands. Davis tries to scramble up, but Aliev keeps it down. Davis lands a pair of elbows from the bottom. Davis lands some big elbows and hammerfists as Aliev was attacking a leg. Davis takes the back and lands a pair of hammerfists. Davis attacks an arm, and Aliev ends up on top. They both land on the mat. 10-9 Aliev.
Aliev gets a takedown, but Davis is attacking for a triangle choke. Aliev escapes and is in side control. Aliev works to the half-guard and lands some left hands. Aliev gets back inside of Davis’ full guard and controls the body. Aliev has back control as they almost get to their feet. Aliev with left hands. Davis rolls, but it allows Aliev to land from the top. They stand and Davis lands a knee. Davis lands a body kick and Aliev lands a left hand. They trade before Aliev pushes it against the fence. Aliev drags Davis to the ground. Aliev with some knees from the back. Aliev lands as they stand. They separate and trade. 10-9 Aliev, 20-18 Aliev.
Davis lands a leg kick. Davis with an uppercut and knee as Aliev looked for a takedown. Aliev scores a takedown. Aliev lands from the top before they scramble up. They separate as Davis lands a knee. Aliev shoots for a takedown, but Davis defends this one and is on top.
