AAA on Fox live results: Chelsea Green & Ethan Page vs. Lola Vice & Mr. Iguana
AAA presents its second live episode on Fox tonight.
Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio is set to kick off the show. His next title defense has been announced for Rey de Reyes on March 14 in Puebla, where he will be challenged by number one contender El Hijo del Vikingo.
AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions Ethan Page and Chelsea Green will defend their titles live tonight against Mr. Iguana and Lola Vice.
Rey de Reyes qualifying matches will continue on Saturday’s episode, with El Grande Americano vs. Rey Fenix vs. Octagón Jr. vs. Dragon Lee. La Parka became the first wrestler to qualify for the Rey de Reyes match at last month’s taping. This year’s Rey de Reyes winner will also receive a future title shot for the Mega Championship.
Tonight’s show is set for the Auditorio José María Arteaga in Querétaro, QUE, Mexico.
Our live coverage, courtesy of Jeff Moss, begins at 9 p.m. Eastern.

It’s liver than live, it’s Lucha Libre! And it’s, well, Live! AAA is building to the massive Rey de Reyes, the premiere sword-focused event in wrestling and it begins with one of the biggest, baddest and dirtiest stars in the game. The AAA Mega Champion Dominick Mysterio!
Dom was shown hanging out with his Mega Championship and Intercontinental Championship belts while taking selfies. Mr Iguana and Lola Vice were shown canoodling in the stands, but then things switched to Ethan Page, one half of the AAA Mixed Tag Champions. He got on his phone and said “what? You’re WHERE?!” presumably to his partner Chelsea Green.
Mysterio walked down to the ring in a Mexican football shirt, glasses and as always the greatest moustache in wrestling. Rey Mysterio on commentary called Dom his “bastard son” (I knew it, Eddie!) and Dominick grabbed a mic.
Dominick addressed the crowd in Spanish with Rey translating. He said that he didn’t want to see the old men on the flags in AAA because he makes the rules around AAA now. Dom said that no one has ever taken the Mega Championship to RAW and when he beat John Cena at Survivor Series, every could see his Mega Championship.
Dom said that AAA is exploding in popularity and do you think that’s because of Vikingo? No, it’s thanks to Dom. This is a new Era, the Era of The Dirtiest. Dom said that he is the King of the Luchadores and that brought out el Hijo de Vikingo, the #1 contender to the Mega Championship. He was joined by Omos and Dorian Roldan.
Roldan said that he has invested his money very well by investing it in Vikingo. Vikingo grabbed a mic and said that Dom’s days are numbered. On the 14th of March, at Rey de Reyes, the “worst Mysterio” will face the best in the world (aka, him).
Dom said that he is going to kick Vikingo’s ass in front of his whole family. Vikingo congratulated Dom on his confidence, but there is no way that he will beat him. He then suggested a stipulation for the match to kick it up a notch.
Vikingo suggested a career match, then maybe a hair vs hair match. Then he said that he’ll let Dom decide and he has two weeks to think about it. Then they will sign the contract for their match, removing any doubt that this is a WWE show.
-Backstage, it was revealed via Facetime that Cheslea Green is in a walking boot and can’t defend her and Ethan’s AAA Mixed Tag Titles. Suddenly, La Hiedra appeared and took Page’s phone away to lead him to the ring.
AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship Match: Ethan Page & La Hiedra (c) vs. Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice
Iguana Vice (my new favourite show on NBC this fall) arrived in matching sparkly green gear. Page and Hiedra came to the ring with a look of worry. Page’s partner Chelsea Green was injured on Smackdown, but had time to Fed Ex her belt to Page for tonight’s defense. Heidra lost a match to Vice last week to see who would be Iguana’s partner for this match.
Iguana and Page started the match with Page grabbing a headlock off the bell. Iguana got out of it and brought Page down with a drop toe hold. Page picked up Iguana, but Iguana turned it into a ddt, sending Page over to get a tag to Hiedra.
That brought in Vice who doubled teamed them with Iguana before the men exited and Vice grabbed a suplex followed by an armdrag. Hiedra left the ring and Voce followed backside first as she does. Hiedra grabbed her hand and slammed it onto the steel steps before throwing her back into the ring.
Hiedra hit a dropkick for a two count and then went back to smashing the hand of Vice on the mat. Hiedra sent Vice off the ropes, but Vice grabbed her in a waistlock take down and got a tag to Iguana. Page ate a few shoulder blocks and a hurricanrana, but kicked out of the cover at two.
Hiedra grabbed a blind tag on Page and tried to kiss Iguana. He dodged and flew over the top rope to take out Page on the outside. Hiedra hit a flatliner on Vice in the ring and Iguana popped up with Liesa. Page pulled him off the apron and grabbe Liesa, but Vice threw Hiedra into Page, knocking him off the apron.
Vice rolled up Hiedra and got the pin 1-2-3 to make her and Iguana the new AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions!
Match Result: Mr. Iguana & Lola Vice defeated Ethan Page and La Hiedra
-Backstage, Dominick Mysterio approached El Grande Americano. Mysterio chided him for being a fan of his deadbeat Dad. That must have upset Rey, because he stopped translating the Spanish, but whatever was said didn’t matter as Americano was attacked by… Americano! The “Original” el Grande Americano handcuffed him to a pole and then the show cut to commercial.
Rey de Reyes Qualifying Match: El Grande Americano vs. Rey Fenix vs. Dragon Lee vs. Octagón Jr.
Octagon, Fenix and Lee all came out to big ovations, but it was the entrance of el Grande Americano that everyone was waiting for. When it was time, out came The Original el Grande Americano, officially taking the place of the, uh, other? el Grande Americano? el Grande Ameri-fraudo? Only time will tell which one I end up trademarking.
Lee, Fenix, Octagon and the audience all motioned for Americano to be thrown out of the match, but the ref didn’t think those results were conclusive enough and Americano stayed as the bell rang.
Americano took some punishment from the other three and was tossed to the outside. Octagon sent sent Lee out and Octagon and Fenix faced off. Octagon charged, but Americano grabbed his ankle and pulled him outside. Amaricano was then double superkicked by Lee and Fenix.
Lee and Fenix ran the ropes, each trying to land kicks and ‘ranas but neither being able to land anything. Americano climbed the turnbuckle and took them both out with a double clothesline. Octagon appeared and took out Americano with a tornado to the outside.
Octagon went up top, but Fenix knocked him into an electric chair and powerbombed him. Fenix then hit a tornado dive of his own onto Lee on the outside. Fenix went up top, but Americano grabbed him and executed a superplex. Octagon broke up the cover at two though.
Backstage, el Grande Amaricano (the other one) was shown being released from his bonds by security, which is the most productive thing a security guard has done at a wrestling show in decades.
In the ring, OG Americano was trying to force Fenix’s mask off. He was unsuccessful and hit a cliffhanger DDT instead. He went to the outside and knocked Lee’s head off the announce table before taking Octagon out with a dropkick. He then went back in and stepped on Fenix’s face before climbing the turnbuckle.
Americano went for a moonsault, but Fenix moved and Octagon and Lee came back into the ring. Lee went to the turnbuckle, but Octagon stopped him. They went back an forth on the turnbuckle until Lee hit a massive double stomp before diving onto Fenix on the outside.
Lee went back into the ring and hit a dropkick on Octagon in the corner. Americano rolled up Lee trying to steal one, but no dice. Lee then grabbed Americano and hit a Styles clash in tribute to his former tag partner.
Fenix and Lee took a mutual respect breather in the ring and then started throwing hands. Lee sent Fenix off the ropes who hit a spinning kick on him. Octagon appeared up top, but Fenix kicked him off the turnbuckle. Octagon popped up with a poisonrana on Fenix, but then Americano started throwing German suplexes on anyone he could grab.
Americano then launched Lee into the turnbuckles and grabbed an Ankle Lock on Fenix. American grapevined it in, but Octagon then hit a 450.
Backstage, security had NOT been able to free the other Americano (which makes way more sense) so Los Americanos tried to no avail.
In the ring, Fenix ran the ropes and hit a high knee on Americano. By that, I mean he RAN ACROSS THE TOP ROPE LIKE HE WAS CROSSING OVER NIAGRA FALLS! Unbelievable!
Americano was sent to the outside and Fenix grabbed him to try and take off his mask. Americano got away in time for Lee to hit a headscissor on Fenix. Americano loaded up his mask with a steel plate and headbutted Lee. He did the same to Octagon and then went up top for a diving headbutt. He grabbed Octagon and pinned him to advance to the Rey de Reyes.
Match Result: (the Original) El Grande Americano defeated Rey Fenix, Dragon Lee, Octagón Jr.
After the match, The other Americano, who going forward I’ll call Venti Americano, now free of his bonds, ran down to the ring to run off Grande Americano. With that the episode came to a close. Next week, La Parka takes on Jack Cartwheel and there will be a triple threat tag team match with the winners becoming the #1 Contenders for the AAA Tag Team Championships.
