Aalyah Mysterio getting ready to ‘establish herself’ at WWE Performance Center

It sounds like Aalyah Mysterio is ready to follow her father and brother into the family business.

WWE fans have already seen Aalyah appear as an on-screen character during a storyline with Buddy Murphy that took place in 2020. After graduating from college, she spent a day at the WWE Performance Center in 2025 and was set to return this February for a two-week stint. Her father Rey Mysterio was interested to see if Aalyah would still want to become a wrestler after going through that extended grind of daily training.

Rey gave an update on the situation while appearing on Undertaker’s Six Feet Under podcast (released this week but recorded in May). Aalyah loved the two weeks she spent at the Performance Center and is getting ready to “establish herself” there.

“She graduated in July of last year. That’s from UCSD [University of California San Diego], human biology. Showed me the diploma and goes, ‘Okay, I’m ready’ Took her up in October of last year — she loved it,” Rey said. “Sent her again this year, February, for two weeks — she loved it. And now we are in May and she’s getting ready to go up there and establish herself at the PC.”

Unexpected career paths for the Mysterio children —

Mysterio never expected to have two children become wrestlers, but Aalyah and Dominik ended up naturally gravitating toward pro wrestling as a career choice without having it pushed on them.

“I’m excited,” Rey said. “If you would have told me, ‘Your kids are going to grow up and become wrestlers, both of them.’ Ehh, [I’d] think you’re wrong. The cool thing is, I’ve never pushed the sport down their throat. It’s all came out of them. Like, they wanted to be a part of this.”

Aalyah entering the business while Rey is still active could lead to them teaming together as a father-daughter duo, with Undertaker mentioning that he would like to have a Rey & Aalyah vs. Dominik & Liv Morgan mixed tag match in Lucha Libre AAA.
