AJ Styles returns to WWE Raw following two-week absence

Following a two-week absence, AJ Styles was back on WWE television on tonight’s episode of Raw.

Styles, Omos, Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode defeated Raw Tag Team Champions RK-Bro (Randy Orton & Riddle) & The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) in an eight-man tag match on Raw tonight. Ziggler, who tagged himself in when Omos was about to tag Styles, pinned Riddle to get the win.

There was dissension between Styles & Omos and Ziggler & Roode after Ziggler tagged himself in, including Omos sending Roode into the barricade when Roode pushed Styles.

Dave Meltzer reported last week that Styles hadn’t been on Raw due to a “non-injury medical issue.” Styles didn’t appear on the October 25 and November 1 episodes of the show. He and Omos had been scheduled to challenge for Orton & Riddle’s Raw Tag Team titles on October 25.

Orton & Riddle won the Raw Tag Team titles from Styles & Omos at SummerSlam this August. At Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia on October 21, Orton & Riddle faced Styles & Omos in a rematch and retained the titles.

MVP also made his return to Raw tonight, accompanying Bobby Lashley for a match where Lashley defeated Dominik Mysterio to take Dominik’s spot on Raw’s Survivor Series men’s team. MVP underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in September.
