AJ Styles vs. Braun Strowman US title match set for WWE Raw

A United States Championship match is set for next week’s episode of Raw.

WWE has announced that AJ Styles will defend his US title against Braun Strowman next Monday. The match comes after Strowman gave Styles two powerslams at the end of last night’s Raw.

Styles faced Universal Champion Seth Rollins in a non-title match in the main event of last night’s show. The finish was Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson attacking Rollins and causing a disqualification. Ricochet tried to make the save for Rollins but was unsuccessful. Strowman then appeared, laid out Styles, Gallows & Anderson, and shook hands with Rollins.

WWE uploaded a post-Raw video where Styles challenged Strowman to a US title match next week. Strowman sent out a tweet where he accepted the challenge and wrote that Styles’ US title reign is coming to an end.

Styles retained the US title against Ricochet at SummerSlam.

Next Monday’s Raw is taking place at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. It will also feature the start of WWE’s King of the Ring tournament.
