Alexa Bliss says her darker character is now retired out of respect for Bray Wyatt

After months of absence, Alexa Bliss returned to WWE last year in January 2025 with a brand new character.

Before her hiatus, Bliss sported a darker character due to her alliance with Bray Wyatt. However, after Wyatt passed away in August 2023, Bliss also slowly stopped using that gimmick.

In a recent Cameo video for a fan, Bliss revealed that her “Dark Alexa” character is retired right now out of respect for Bray Wyatt and his family.

Now, about Dark Alexa. While I love that it meant something to you, it meant so much to me as well. That chapter is very special and very close tied with my time with Bray [Wyatt],” Bliss said.

“Out of respect for him and the Wyatts, I like to keep that version of myself exactly where it is. For the time, it is retired and untouched.”

Bliss is currently in a tag-team with Charlotte Flair and recently competed for the women’s tag-team titles with Flair at WWE WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
