Alleged victim in Ludwig Kaiser case obtains attorney
As we await a pre-trial conference that’s scheduled for next month, a new filing has been made in Ludwig Kaiser’s battery case.
Court records show that a Notice of Appearance was filed on June 11 entering attorney Darrin Chambers as counsel for the alleged victim. Chambers works for NeJame Law in Orlando, Florida and is a trial attorney focused on civil litigation and personal injury. The move could mean the alleged victim is seeking financial compensation and potentially considering a civil lawsuit against Kaiser (Marcel Barthel).
NeJame touts that Chambers is a proud veteran of the United States Navy and is “recognized for his discipline, preparation, and commitment to taking cases to trial when it matters most.”
Details of Ludwig Kaiser’s battery case —
Kaiser is facing a misdemeanor charge concerning an alleged April 24 incident between himself and the victim, who is a male resident of his Orlando apartment complex. In the victim’s version of events, he was on an elevator with Kaiser and a female and told them to “please have some manners” after they were aggressively kissing. This led to Kaiser attacking the victim outside of the elevator and leaving a large scratch and redness on the victim’s head.
Police observed the victim’s injuries and reviewed security footage, which resulted in Kaiser being identified as the attacker. The victim was then presented with a photo lineup of six individuals and named Kaiser as the one who attacked him.
Amid the case, Kaiser has not commented publicly or shared his side of what went on. He is able to continue traveling both domestically and internationally and recently had the biggest moment of his career so far when he (as El Grande Americano) defeated Chad Gable (Original El Grande Americano) in a mask vs. mask match at AAA Noche de Los Grandes. The bout has received huge praise and is likely to be a strong contender for 2026’s Match of the Year.
A pre-trial conference in the battery case is set for Thursday, July 16. The prosecution and defense will meet and attempt to work out whether the case is going to trial or will end before then with a plea agreement.
