Ambulance match headlines next week’s WWE SmackDown
WWE’s SmackDown returns to a three-hour length next week, on a live show headlined by Aleister Black vs. Damian Priest in an ambulance match.
SmackDown will air live on Friday, January 2, from the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York. Aleister Black will face Damian Priest in the main event. Black and Priest have been feuding for months, but there was little new on this week’s SmackDown to promote the match—Black simply called out Priest in a backstage promo. WWE then announced it would be an ambulance match on social media.
Two other matches have also been announced for next week’s show. Michin will face Jade Cargill in a non-title match; should she win, she will get a shot at Cargill’s WWE Women’s Championship.
There will also be an eight-woman tag team match pitting Alexa Bliss & Charlotte Flair & Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY vs. Nia Jax & Lash Legend & Asuka & Kairi Sane.
