Andrade advances in WWE Speed contender’s tournament

Andrade is moving on to the next round of WWE Speed’s contender’s tournament.

The WWE Speed episode that aired on Wednesday featured Andrade defeating Karl Anderson in a first-round match. The fastest match in WWE Speed history, Andrade won in under a minute after a knee strike and double underhook neckbreaker.

It will be Andrade vs. Tommaso Ciampa on WWE Speed next Wednesday (June 12). The episode premieres on X/Twitter at noon Eastern time.

The winner of Andrade vs. Ciampa advances to challenge Ricochet for the WWE Speed Championship. It’s the second title defense Ricochet has made since becoming champion. His first defense was a victory over Tyler Bate.

Tournaments have been the focus of WWE Speed since the show premiered this April. Matches on the show have a three-minute time limit, which is expanded to five minutes for title bouts.

After moving to SmackDown in the WWE Draft, Andrade arrived on the brand last Friday, defeating Apollo Crews. Andrade declined an offer to join Legado Del Fantasma and is now feuding with the group.
