Andre the Giant battle royal, MFTs vs. Wyatt Sicks set for next WWE SmackDown
Two big matches are set for the final SmackDown before WrestleMania.
WWE confirmed on Friday that the Andre the Giant battle royal will take place just 24 hours before WrestleMania Saturday. The annual tradition, which in recent years has moved to SmackDown, usually consists of those not on the WrestleMania card. The winner recieves a trophy bearing the likeness of the legendary WWE Hall of Famer. Last year’s match was won by Carmelo Hayes, who finds himself off WrestleMania for a second year in a row.
Also set for next Friday is an eight-man tag pitting the Wyatt Sicks against the MFTs, who have been feuding for the last several months over Bray Wyatt’s lantern. Tama Tonga, who eventually had enough of Solo Siokoa’s obsession over the lantern, recently gave it back to the Wyatts.
It was stressed that stars from both Raw and SmackDown would be on Friday’s show, which will take place at the T-Mobile Arena.
