WWE & NXT stars to make AAA debut this month

Octagon Jr. vs. Je'Von Evans vs. Axiom

AAA announced Wednesday that a pair of WWE and NXT wrestlers will be participating in a big match later this month.

WWE’s Axiom will be facing NXT’s Je’Von Evans and AAA’s Octagon Jr. on the Saturday, November 22 show at Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium in Mexico City, Mexico. The winner of that match will go on to challenge Laredo Kid for AAA’s Cruiserweight title.

Axiom, formerly known as A-Kid, has been wrestling for over a decade including the last three years with WWE/NXT, but hasn’t previously worked for AAA and this show will mark his first match ever in Mexico.

That’s also true for Evans, a seven-year pro at just 21 years of age, who has been a full-timer with NXT for just over a year. Octagon Jr., a 17-year pro, has been a AAA mainstay since 2018 and has also teamed with Laredo Kid in TNA as the Aztec Warriors.

Laredo Kid, a former TNA Digital Media champion, is a two-time AAA Cruiserweight champion having won it from Sammy Guevara in 2018 and from Matt Riddle last December.
