Baron Corbin returns on WWE SmackDown
Baron Corbin is back.
As Carmelo Hayes wrestled Trick Williams on SmackDown, he went to the top rope when suddenly Baron Corbin appeared. He threw Hayes off the turnbuckle and the match was thrown out as he continued to attack not only Hayes, but also Trick Williams, laying them both out with the End of Days. He then grabbed the United States title and held it high, signaling his future target as he made his exit.
Where has Baron Corbin been?
This was Corbin’s first appearance on WWE television since being released at the end of 2024. Reports of a return started to surface earlier this summer, with Dave Meltzer reporting that there was talk of him returning to the company.
Corbin continued to wrestle after his WWE departure, working in the independent scene under the name Bishop Dyer. He was a regular in MLW, holding the Tag Team titles with Donovan Dijak until his recent departure from the company. He also made a one-time AEW appearance back in January, teaming with Better Together and Martin Stone in a loss to Billy Gunn, Austin Gunn, Brady Booker, and Elijah Drago.
