Bayley vs. Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross set for WWE Extreme Rules

A Beat the Clock Challenge on tonight's Raw set up a change to the SmackDown Women's Championship match for Extreme Rules.

It will now be Bayley defending her SmackDown Women's title against Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross in a handicap match at the pay-per-view. The match was originally announced as Bayley vs. Bliss.

Bayley and Cross took part in singles matches on tonight's Raw, and whoever won in the fastest amount of time got to pick the stipulation for the title match at Extreme Rules. Cross defeated Dana Brooke in under three minutes, while Bayley defeated Sarah Logan in 4:32.

After the Beat the Clock Challenge, Cross cut a promo and told Bayley to find a friend of her own who is as loyal and honest as Bliss and who could slap some sense into Bayley. Bayley then laid out Cross with a Bayley-to-Belly and flying elbow drop.

WWE didn't officially announce who would become champion if Cross pins Bayley at Extreme Rules.

Extreme Rules is taking place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on Sunday. Here's the updated card for the PPV:

  • The Undertaker & Roman Reigns vs. Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre in a no holds barred match
  • Universal Champion Seth Rollins & Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch defending against Baron Corbin & Lacey Evans in an extreme rules match (winners-take-all stipulation with both titles on the line)
