Becky Lynch responds to Ronda Rousey WWE return rumors

On Twitter, Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch responded to rumors that Ronda Rousey could soon be making her return to WWE.

Fightful reported yesterday that WWE is “pushing” for Rousey’s return and has tossed her name around as potentially being involved in Saturday’s Royal Rumble pay-per-view. In response to a tweet referencing that report, Lynch posted a picture of herself with the Raw Women’s Championship and wrote: “Was wondering if you’d show up again. I’ve still got her and she’s doing great.”

Rousey last wrestled at WrestleMania 35 in April 2019, where Lynch defeated Rousey and Charlotte Flair in a triple threat match for the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships. The finish of the match was Lynch using a crucifix pin to defeat Rousey, even though Rousey got her shoulders up while being pinned.

Dave Meltzer reported on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that someone in WWE pretty much told him that Lynch vs. Rousey is on the books and in heavy consideration for WrestleMania 38 this April.

In September of last year, Rousey and her husband Travis Browne welcomed the birth of their daughter La’akea Makalapuaokalanipō Browne.

Lynch is defending her Raw Women’s Championship against Doudrop at the Royal Rumble this Saturday.
