Becky Lynch vs. Alexa Bliss set for WWE No Mercy

After becoming the number one contender for Becky Lynch’s Women’s Championship on Tuesday night’s edition of SmackDown, Alexa Bliss will officially challenge Lynch for the title at the brand’s upcoming No Mercy pay-per-view.

Bliss defeated Nikki Bella, Carmella, Naomi, and Natalya in a fatal five-way match to earn a shot at the title. Carmella hit a kick on Bella and appeared to have the match won, but Bliss threw her out of the ring and got the pin herself.

Becky Lynch became the first SmackDown Women’s Champion after winning a six-pack challenge for the title at Backlash.

Daniel Bryan first indicated on Tueday’s episode of Talking Smack that the match would be happening at No Mercy on October 9th. The current card for the show is:

  • AJ Styles defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship against John Cena and Dean Ambrose in a triple threat match
  • Becky Lynch defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Alexa Bliss
