Big Cass makes WWE return on Raw
Big Cass is officially back in WWE.
After Je’Von Evans picked up a win over Ethan Page on Raw, he was immediately met by the returning Cass, who immediately laid him out with a boot. He then planted Evans with the East River Crossing, standing tall over the fallen Evans.
Later backstage, Cass said it was nothing personal against Evans, but he was in the way. He said that after eight years, he was here to stack bodies.
In the weeks leading to SummerSlam, vignettes had been airing for Cass’ return ending with the date August 3, or the day after SummerSlam.
Big Bill back to Big Cass
Cass was released from WWE back in 2018, reportedly over behavioral issues. He wrestled on the independent circuit for a few years while battling addiction problems. He overcame them and started to make appearances for Impact Wrestling before signing with AEW in 2022. Going under the name Big Bill, he was best known for his alliance with Ricky Starks and later as a part of The Learning Tree with Chris Jericho.
After making his final appearances for ROH in April, reports began surfacing that both Cass and Enzo Amore would soon be making their WWE return, potentially reuniting them as a team. Amore wasn’t seen in any of the video packages prior to Cass’ return.
