Big E vs. Sheamus added to lineup for WWE SmackDown

WWE returns to the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado for the second straight day as SmackDown and Mixed Match Challenge take place and 205 Live is taped tonight.

Big E vs. Sheamus has been added to the lineup for SmackDown. The match comes after Cesaro defeated Kofi Kingston last week, and it will further the build to The New Day defending their SmackDown Tag Team titles against Cesaro & Sheamus at Super Show-Down in Melbourne, Australia on October 6.

As was announced over the weekend, tonight’s SmackDown will feature a contract signing for AJ Styles and Samoa Joe’s no disqualification, no countout match for the WWE Championship at Super Show-Down. WWE is also teasing a match between United States Champion Shinsuke Nakamura and Tye Dillinger for tonight, and the episode will follow up on Aiden English turning against Rusev last Tuesday.

Bobby Lashley & Mickie James vs. Jinder Mahal & Alicia Fox and The Miz & Asuka vs. R-Truth & Carmella are set for this week’s Mixed Match Challenge. Mustafa Ali vs. Hideo Itami and Lio Rush vs. Noam Dar are advertised for the 205 Live tapings.
