Boxing star Alycia Baumgardner is very open to the idea of crossing over into WWE.

During a Tuesday appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Baumgardner was asked if she’s thought about trying her hand at WWE given her big personality and early-life experience competing in amateur wrestling. Baumgardner said those talks are already in the works, with her and WWE showing mutual interest.

“Oh, listen, it’s in the works. Conversations are being had — as we speak,” Baumgardner said. “Again, I don’t turn no deal down if it makes sense. And when we talk about building a brand, we talk about bigger and better. I’m not just a fighter, I’m not just a boxer. I think that’s why they [haters] mad, because they’ve got to box. I don’t have to box. I love to box. I choose to box. And, yeah, we’re building something big. We’re building a brand that is made to last.”

Baumgardner said she was a big fan of WWE growing up and once lit fireworks in her room trying to mimic entrance pyro. Trish Stratus and John Cena were among some of the wrestlers that she liked. Currently, she is friends with WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill and loves how Cargill is representing Black women.

When asked if she’s tried out wrestling training, Baumgardner said she has not because she is busy with her current fight camp. She is facing Bo Mi Re Shin in New York City this Friday night for MVP women’s boxing. Baumgardner invited Cargill to attend, but Cargill is not able to make it due to WrestleMania.
