Braun Strowman reveals former WWE in-ring name origin
Former WWE star Braun Strowman has opened up and revealed the origin of his in-ring name.
Recently, in a new interview with 10,000 Nos, Strowman shared the origin of his ring name, saying it was a mix of two baseball players’ names.
“They’re talking about Ryan Braun, and I’m like, ‘Braun, Braun, I’m kind of brawny,’ and then literally they transition right after that and they start talking about Marcus Stroman, the baseball player,” Strowman shared.
Strowman, aka Adam Scherr, made his debut in WWE as a member of The Wyatt Family before eventually breaking out as a singles star. It should also be noted that Strowman was also a part of Adam Rose’s Rose Buds. Shortly after, he joined The Wyatt Family and made his presence felt as one of the toughest competitors on the roster.
Strowman is a former multi-time champion in WWE and left the promotion in 2025 to focus more on his reality TV career.
