Brock Lesnar returning to WWE Raw next week

The build to SummerSlam is set to pick up as Brock Lesnar returns to WWE television next week.

It was officially confirmed tonight that Lesnar will be appearing on next Monday’s Raw at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. Lesnar had been advertised for the show on the venue’s website before his return was announced.

This will be the first time Lesnar has been on Raw since April 23, which was the go-home show for the Greatest Royal Rumble. WWE is hyping that Lesnar’s appearance next week will be to confront his opponent for SummerSlam.

The winner of tonight’s number one contender’s match between Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley will challenge for Lesnar’s Universal Championship at SummerSlam. The pay-per-view is taking place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 19.

Reigns unsuccessfully challenged for the title at WrestleMania 34 and the Greatest Royal Rumble in April, with the latter booked to end in controversy as Reigns speared Lesnar through the side of a steel cage.
