Brock Lesnar vs. Drew McIntyre official for WWE WrestleMania 36

The first match for WrestleMania 36 is now official.

The night after winning the men’s Royal Rumble match, Drew McIntyre opened Raw by announcing that he’s going to challenge Lesnar for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36. McIntyre eliminated Lesnar in the Rumble match after Lesnar had started off by eliminating 13 other wrestlers.

During the Rumble, McIntyre gave Lesnar a Claymore Kick over the top rope after Ricochet hit a low blow on Lesnar.

McIntyre last eliminated Roman Reigns to win the Royal Rumble.

McIntyre also issued an open challenge in the opening segment of tonight’s Raw. He pinned Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson in a handicap match after hitting Claymore Kicks on both. McIntyre threw Gallows and Anderson out of the ring after the match but was then ambushed by Lesnar. Lesnar gave McIntyre an F-5 and posed with the WWE title belt.

WrestleMania 36 is taking place at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on April 5.
