Bryan Alvarez on WWE Raw: ‘Every match on this show was the same’

Bryan Alvarez believes the matches on WWE Raw this week all followed a similar format.

On the post-Raw edition of Wrestling Observer Radio late Monday evening, Alvarez told Dave Meltzer that each match involved a babyface being beaten down until there was interference leading to the finish.

Alvarez said:

“Every match on this show was all about the heel is just going to beat the babyface the entire match until somebody runs in at the end.”

“This one in particular went through two commercial breaks and every time Stephanie started to make a comeback, Raquel would just lariat her and beat on her some more.”

“There’s a reason for the old school babyface gets some shine, the heel beats em down, the babyface makes a big comeback, because you got the up and down. This match did not have up and down. It was straight through, Raquel just beat her and beat her.”

There were only three matches on Raw this week, but all three had babyface wins after interference leading to the finish. Je’Von Evans defeated El Grande Americano after The Original El Grande Americano returned, Penta defeated Bronson Reed by count out after LA Knight attacked Reed, and as noted above, Stephanie Vaquer defeated Raquel Rodriguez after interference from Judgment Day.
