Chad Gable reveals WWE contract is for three years
The length of Chad Gable’s WWE contract has been revealed.
Gable noted during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet that the deal he signed with the company in June is for three years.
“I just re-signed with the company for three more years,” Gable said on the show. “To extend my relationship with the company that’s done so much for me, afforded me the things that I never thought I would have been able to do, travel around the world and back a hundred times it feels like, see things I never would have saw, meet people I never would have met, and just live a childhood dream which so many people don’t ever get to do, how could I not be grateful for that?”
“To continue that relationship, I’m so excited,” he continued.
“If you ask me, I have 10 years left in me. I feel physically as good as I ever have but to be hitting a peak, I feel, of my career at this point is awesome.”
Gable first signed with WWE in November 2013 and made his NXT TV debut in January 2015. He’s won the NXT, Raw, and SmackDown tag titles but has not won a singles championship yet in his WWE career, something he also spoke to Chris Van Vliet about.
“I also am disappointed in the fact that I didn’t (win a singles title) during that whole run (with Sami Zayn). Because I also don’t want to give the fans the impression that like, well he’s great, but he’s also just the guy that can’t win the big one, where I know I am and I know I can. But what this is doing is I think for me building that first one to mean almost as much as maybe it’s ever meant for anybody. I’ve come so close so many times, the Gunther stuff, what it did for my career, what Gunther did for my career can’t be overstated. I have him to thank for so much the way he elevated me. Then moving on to the stuff with Sami, from a storytelling perspective alongside the in-ring perspective, we got so much accomplished in such a short amount of time. I feel like for both of us that it left just the right amount on the table for me as a singles guy to be like he did so much there, he got so much done, but he didn’t win the championship. So we’ve got one piece of the puzzle left to fill in, and I’m almost happy it didn’t happen then, because of what we got done there. It didn’t need it. I didn’t need it. But now I do and so now it’s still on the table.”
